Wir freuen uns euch unsere Festrednerinnen der SABA ´24 vorstellen zu können:
Was ist AktArcha überhaupt? Das Projekt, geleitet durch apl. Prof. Dr. Elsbeth Bösl (Professur für Neuere und Neueste Geschichte, Universität der Bundeswehr München) und Dr. Doris Gutsmiedl-Schümann MHEd (Privatdozentin Historisches Institut, Universität der Bundeswehr München) ist eine Chance für eine neue, feministische Sicht auf die Archäologie und ihrer Vermittlung an die Öffentlichkeit.
"Das öffentliche Bild der Archäologien wird geprägt durch die – überholte
– Vorstellung von der reinen "Wissenschaft des Spatens". (AktArcha)" Als erstes Bild, dass den meisten in den Kopf kommt, ist dann Indiana Jones oder ein anderer-meist männlicher- Abenteuer-Archäologe. Doch die Archäologie hat noch viel mehr Gesichter und Facetten. Archäologinnen werden dabei oft in ihrer Rolle übersehen oder nicht beachtet. Dabei sind vor allem im Denkmalschutz und in den Museen und Sammlungen Frauen, wichtige Pionierinnen der Forschung. Diese wenig beachteten Akteurinnen der Archäologie sollen nun eine Stimme und vor allen die Aufmerksamkeit bekommen, die sie verdienen. Dies ist einer der Hauptziele des Projektes AktArcha. Mithilfe von digitaler Wissenschaftkommunikation, die auch vor Social Media nicht zurückschreckt und der begleitenden Ausstellung, will AktArcha Vorbilder und Identifikationsfiguren schaffen, die jungen Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen und der breiten Öffentlichkeit ein neues Bild der Archäologie aufzeigen.
Wir sind jetzt schon gespannt auf den Eröffnungsvortrag am 25.10.2024. Genauere Informationen zu dem Festvortrag folgen noch.

We are exited to announce and introduce our key-note speakers for the SABA´24:
What is AktArcha? This project, lead by apl. Prof. Dr.
Elsbeth Bösl (Professur für Neuere und Neueste Geschichte, Universität der Bundeswehr München) and Dr. Doris Gutsmiedl-Schümann MHEd (Privatlecturer Historisches Institut, Universität der Bundeswehr München) is a chance for a new and feministic approach to archaeology and the communication to a broader public.
The public image of archaeology is characterized by the - outdated - idea of the pure "science of the spade". (AktArcha)" The first image that comes to most people's minds is Indiana Jones or another - mostly male - adventure archaeologist. But archaeology is more divers than you would imaging. Female archaeologists are often overlooked or ignored in their role. Yet women are important pioneers of research, especially in the protection of historical heritage and in museums and collections. These little-known figures in the field of archaeology, should now be given a voice and, above all, the attention they deserve. This is one of the main aims of the AktArcha project. With the help of digital science communication, which does not shy away from social media, and the accompanying exhibition, AktArcha aims to create role models and identification figures that show young scientists and the general public a new image of archaeology.
